Digital Partners Institute is a Seattle based non-profit organization whose mission is to utilize the digital economy to benefit the poor. He has been responsible for the establishment of the organization and building its core programs in India, Ghana and Mexico. He has also developed and launched the Social Venture Fund and the Social Enterprise Laboratory (SEL), a process to identify, mentor and support innovative efforts that are utilizing information technology to help the poor. He has over 20 years of experience as a practitioner, educator, researcher, and development expert and is very active in the Seattle area community. He serves on the MIT Alumni Committee for Puget Sound; is a member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Seattle Chapter; and is also an Affiliate Professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Washington. Dr. Badshah holds degrees from the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology, Ahmedabad and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
