Amie Batson

Ms. Batson is a Senior Health Specialist in the Health, Nutrition, and Population unit of the World Bank where she leads the Bank’s work on immunization and vaccines. Ms. Batson is also the Co-Chair of the GAVI Financing Task Force, charged with supporting governments and international partners to improve sustainable financing, and with exploring innovative financing mechanisms to accelerate the development and introduction of priority vaccines in the developing world. Prior to joining the Bank, Ms. Batson was a joint WHO/UNICEF staff member in the Global Program for Vaccines in the World Health Organization. She led the work on public-private partnerships for vaccines, launching a new relationship and strategies based on the underlying economics of manufacturing. Ms. Batson has a Masters of Public and Private Management from Yale.
