Jim Brasher

Mr. Brasher joined Synergos in November 2000 as program director of the Global Philanthropists Circle after serving as director of programs and special assistant to the Secretary General for the World Conference on Religion and Peace (WCRP), the world’s largest coalition of religious communities working on issues of peace and justice. He was special assistant to President Jimmy Carter and the chief development officer at the Carter Center. He has served as an advisor to the trustees and CEOs of, or directed programs for, numerous national and international organizations including AmeriCares, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Fulbright Association, International Life Sciences Institute, Neighborhood Housing Services of America, Pan American Health Organization, United Negro College Fund, and President Kim Dae Jung on establishing his peace foundation. Most recently he has developed substantive programs in Sierra Leone, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Indonesia. Mr. Brasher has a B.B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Memphis. He completed course work for a Ph.D. degree in economics, finance, and marketing at the University of Alabama.
