Monica Ellis is the chief executive officer of the Global Environment & Technology Foundation (GETF), a leading non-profit that develops public-private partnerships to bring clean water and sanitation to communities in need. Founded in 1988, GETF clients range from Fortune 100 companies and water technology start-ups to executive branch agencies, private foundations, and multi-lateral donor organizations. GETF currently manages over $60MM in public-private partnership commitments focused on safe water for the Coca-Cola Company and its foundations, USAID, and other partners. The foundation is actively managing safe water projects in 22 countries for the Coca-Cola Africa Foundation as part of its Replenish Africa Initiative (RAIN).
Active in the sustainability arena for nearly 20 years, Ms. Ellis has worked extensively throughout the world on global natural resource issues, with particular attention to the clean water and energy sectors. She is particularly dedicated to providing clean water and sanitation to communities in the developing world. To that end, she has helped launch new organizations and partnerships and to raise millions of dollars dedicated to the clean water and sanitation cause.
Ms. Ellis is a volunteer and serves on a variety of boards, including that of the International Rural Water Association. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia.
