Allison Morris

With 20 years of experience in fundraising and philanthropy, Allison is the founder of Alder Fundraising and Philanthropy. She works with nonprofit and foundation leaders to improve fundraising success, achieve philanthropic aspirations, and navigate the power dynamics in funding relationships. Her mission is to support the organizations and people that create social change.

Allison is the Chief Development Officer for the Electronic Frontier Foundation. She has led the fundraising teams at the END Fund and PATH, and oversaw foundation and corporate partnerships at Doctors Without Borders and Mercy Corps. In addition to these global organizations, she has fundraised for local charities including New York Cares and the off-broadway Vineyard Theatre. Allison’s fundraising strategies increase revenue, de-risk and diversify funding, and focus on leading KPIs for decision making. She has extensive experience with corporate partnerships, foundations, high net worth individual philanthropy, mass market fundraising, events, and brand marketing.

Previous speaking engagements and workshops include the Aspen Ideas Festival, Engage for Good, the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and the International Travel Crisis Management Summit.

Allison earned a master’s degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Brown University.
